Things to remember when smoking shisha and can prove to be beneficial.
Stay hydrated, drink plenty of fluids to prevent any dehydration, water or fruit juices would be ideal.
Try not to smoke on an empty stomach, it can make you feel a bit iffy if you haven’t eaten in a while. Don’t stuff yourself and smoke, this can also cause an unpleasant smoking experience.
Light coals in a well ventilated area, not on top of the shisha whilst you are smoking! The smell of coal when igniting can be unpleasant.
Don’t smoke harsh shisha, if the shisha is burnt out, don’t keep puffing away. You might aswell smoke burnt cardboard as it would probably taste the same and give you the same headache.
Know your limit, don’t go overboard, if your body isn’t feeling up to it then don’t smoke and come back to it at a later time. Last thing you want to do is fall ill when you’ve got a 8 o’clock shift in the morning.
Don’t take too long or too small drags on the shisha, it can cause dizziness, headaches and an unpleasant sickness feeling. Instead take a medium drag for a few seconds and exhale.
Make sure the coals are fully lit and have ashed over, coals with black bits mean they are not fully lit and can cause mild c02 poisoning. No need to cut corners, a minute or so longer on the heat will ensure you have a more pleasurable session.
Keep the room well ventilated. Have some fresh air coming in through a window or doorway, if this is an issue get up and go outside to get some fresh air in to your system.
